Why join Kids U Can?
Kids-U-Can, in addition to raising money for
Right To Play, has evolved into a group of people
who see the opportunity to apply the fundamental Right To
Play principals closer to home.
While many of our Canadian communities do not share the same
desperate plight of communities in Africa, Asia and the Middle
East, they do have a commonality - children.
- Canadian children who can benefit from participation in sports;
children who can benefit from the knowledge gained from
Right To Play programs
- Children who have the potential to become future community
leaders and active global citizens
- Children who can also eventually join the young beneficiaries
of the Right To Play international programs and
who together "can make a difference" on a global scale.
Fortunately, some communities in Canada also see the same
benefit and have reached out to Right To Play for
its assistance. The City of Surrey set a wonderful example when it
launched a new partnership with Right To Play and
over 130 schools in the Surrey School District involving varying
levels of participation. This school and community-based program
will help "make a difference" and ensure a legacy for the community
that all can be proud of.
The Kids-U-Can network currently reaches across
many parts of Canada and it can help enable similar initiatives to
take place within the many communities it is already touching.
So when you invest in Kids-U-Can
- You are demonstrating social responsibility and are investing
in both Right To Play and a future legacy for your
own community.
- You have joined a grass roots version of Right To
Play that consists of a group of volunteers who are
committed to helping children become better citizens - not only in
the many underprivileged communities around the world, but also
here in Canada.
- Your contributions go directly to
Right To Play and you will be issued a tax receipt
for donations over $20
- Your participation in numerous fun community
events together with your children demonstrates your willingness to
"walk the talk" and set an example for your children to
follow.
- As a Kids-U-Can member - challenge your
friends to become involved and take their own initiative to expand
the Right To Play network and its ability to help
children world wide
